Caregiver needed in Culemborg, Netherlands

Gender: Female
Age: 30 years
Diagnosis: High spinal cord injury (complete C4 lesion)

The client lives in Culemborg, Netherlands, and despite complete paralysis due to a high spinal cord injury (C4 lesion), she maintains a positive outlook on life. She is 30 years old, sociable, active, and values a structured daily routine. Personal appearance is very important to her—hair styling, makeup, and choosing outfits are essential parts of her everyday comfort.

She is fully dependent on assistance for all activities of daily living. This includes complete help with hygiene, transfers (using a passive hoist), dressing, eating, and medication administration. She uses an electric wheelchair, shower and toilet chair, pressure gloves, orthoses, compression stockings, and an abdominal binder.

Care also includes complex urological and bowel procedures—she has an indwelling catheter that is irrigated three times a week, and her bladder is trained using a specific method. In terms of bowel care, regular stimulation is needed (e.g., with Microlax, touch stimulation). She performs breathing exercises (air stacking) twice a day and uses an inhaler as needed.

She has two minor pressure sores and shoulder pain, which are managed with topical treatments. Her condition requires heightened vigilance due to the risk of autonomic dysreflexia—a serious medical condition that requires immediate attention when triggered by issues such as a full bladder, constipation, or skin irritation.

We are looking for a caregiver who is experienced, reliable, and capable of providing both professional and compassionate support. The client values patience, attention to detail, and someone who enjoys spending time together—both in everyday tasks and in social activities. This position is ideal for someone who wants to be an active part of a young woman’s life, who is determined to live fully despite physical limitations.

Caregiver Needed in Westland, Netherlands

Gender: Male and female (married couple)
Age: Man – 83 years, Woman – 80 years
Diagnosis: Parkinson’s disease, hearing impairment, low vision, post-stroke condition

The married couple lives in a spacious family home in the Westland area. The house is well-adapted to the needs of a live-in caregiver. We are looking for a reliable and independent caregiver who can provide support to both elderly clients.

The man is 83 years old and suffers from Parkinson’s disease. His mobility is slow and his stability is reduced. He requires assistance with daily activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, moving around the house, and taking medication.

His wife is 80 years old and has had a stroke in the past, which has led to occasional cognitive difficulties. She is deaf and has severe visual impairment, which affects her communication and spatial orientation. She experiences an epileptic seizure approximately once a year. She needs a calm approach, patience, and physical assistance throughout the day—particularly with self-care and getting around the home.

A strong command of the Dutch language is essential, as both clients are elderly and the woman has significant communication limitations. Fluent Dutch is necessary to ensure a safe and respectful environment.

We are looking for a caregiver who is physically fit, naturally respectful toward the elderly, and capable of taking initiative when needed. Ideally, someone with a sense for family dynamics, who can create a calm daily rhythm and provide the clients with stability and trust.

Caregiver Needed in Rotterdam, NL

Gender: Female
Age: 25 years
Diagnosis: Spinal cord injury (quadriplegia), autonomic dysreflexia

This client is a young, positive-minded woman currently living with her parents in Rotterdam. She is waiting to be assigned her own apartment in the same city. Due to a spinal cord injury, she is completely immobile and requires 24-hour care.

She needs full assistance with all daily activities, including personal hygiene, transfers (exclusively using a passive hoist), repositioning, eating, communication, and personal grooming. She uses a wheelchair and a specialized shower and toilet chair.

From a medical standpoint, she requires:

  • Daily bowel irrigation

  • Air stacking 3 times a day

  • Evening electrostimulation

  • Care for a suprapubic catheter
Her skin must be treated daily to prevent pressure sores. Close monitoring is essential due to the risk of autonomic dysreflexia – a serious condition that requires immediate response at the first signs.

Despite these challenges, the client is very sociable, energetic, and full of life. She enjoys watching movies, spending time with her caregiver and friends, and cares about her appearance – she appreciates help with hairstyling, makeup, and choosing clothes. She is surrounded by a loving environment – her parents, sister, boyfriend, and a close circle of friends.

We are looking for a caregiver who is not only experienced and attentive, but also friendly, fun, and socially engaged. The client is looking for a companion who can support her not only physically, but also emotionally – helping her maintain her femininity, independence, and quality of life.

Caregiver Needed in Nagele, NL

Gender: Male
Age: 76 years
Diagnosis: Right leg amputation, prostate cancer, asthma, diabetes, heart and kidney failure, stroke, autoimmune disease

This client lives in a family house in the quiet village of Nagele. He is a kind and positively-minded man who enjoys company and spending time outdoors – when his health allows, he likes to take his electric wheelchair out onto the street and chat with neighbors.

His medical condition is complex. He has undergone leg amputation and suffers from multiple chronic illnesses. He requires comprehensive care, including hygiene support, catheter management, wound care (for pressure sores), and assistance with painful joints. He also has vision and swallowing difficulties.

He needs a careful, patient, and thorough caregiver to visit him three times a day, helping with hygiene, medication, dressing changes, and overall comfort. He lives near his daughter and granddaughter, who are supportive and involved in his care.

There are also two dogs in the household – one small and one a former police dog – so the caregiver should either be a dog lover or at least comfortable being around animals.
